In this session Mr. Jordan Heiber will provide an introduction to the Japanese economy. Focusing on the post-bubble period, Mr. Heiber will discuss some of the unique characteristics of Japan’s economy, highlighting where he thinks it has succeeded and struggled, and noting the opportunities and challenges for Japan in the years to come.

Jordan Heiber is Deputy Representative at MUFG's Washington DC Representative Office. Before joining MUFG, Mr. Heiber worked as a diplomat in the State Department's Office of Japanese Affairs for several years, as a report for Asahi Shimbun, and as an English Language Instructor in rural Japan.
