Advancing the Rule of Law in Maritime Asia: Opportunity for Emerging and Established Experts

Pacific Forum, with support from the U.S. Department of State, through the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, and in cooperation with the Yokosuka Council on Asia-Pacific Studies (YCAPS) is pleased to announce a new project, Advancing the Rule of Law in Maritime Asia. This will be the theme of the next iteration of the Indo-Pacific Maritime Security Expert Working Group. This project will consist of a 23-24 March virtual conference and an edited volume to be published as a special edition of Pacific Forum's Issues & Insights series.

Maritime security and maritime law experts are encouraged to submit policy papers and/or oral presentations to this hyperlink: http://bit.ly/maritime2021. Proposals will be reviewed on a revolving basis as they are received. The final deadline will be 2 March 2021.

Those making oral presentations will receive honoraria of US $200. Authors of papers included in the post-event proceeding will receive honoraria of US $1000.
