YCAPS is excited to announce our next event in Fussa. This event will feature Air Commodore Yasir Shafiq Malik, Defense Attaché, Embassy of Pakistan, Tokyo who will be presenting "Prelude to a Crisis: Kashmir, April 2025".

In April 2025, violence in Pahalgam coincided with a visit by the U.S. Vice President to India. A little-known militant group’s attack ignited a swift escalation in regional tensions, pushing South Asia into a crisis that captured global attention.

In this talk, we will explore the crisis timeline including the key events and responses from April to May 2025, Strategic Singaling, Information Warfare, Policy Dynamics, and the wider implications for regional security including lessons for deterrence and escalation control.

This event is a must-attend for anyone seeking a clear-eyed, context-rich understanding of how modern strategic crises unfold and are managed.

All are welcome. Refreshments will be provided and we look forward to seeing everyone on July 23rd.
