    Join YCAPS for our inaugural roundtable in Misawa for 2022! Our Roundtable series is designed to be a more personal, by-RSVP discussion where attendees connect to explore contemporary topics.

     

    Russia’s sudden invasion of Ukraine affected more than just Ukraine’s neighbors in Europe. Ripple effects of the war have already begun to shift security postures in the Asia-Pacific, including China’s perceptions of a potential Taiwan invasion. Come join us for dinner and discussion on the implications of the war in Ukraine for the U.S.-Japan Alliance and for the region at large.

    Moderators:

     

    Jeff Mazziotta is the program director for YCAPS-SPF Community Conversations program. As a U.S. Army veteran and an experienced NGO Director of Wild Response, Jeff has developed and implemented a wide range of programs in Japan, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

     

    Jenna Lindeke Heavenrich is the program officer for the YCAPS-SPF Community Conversations program. As a military spouse, she has maintained a 10+ year career in the field of international affairs, with a focus on the intersection between humanitarian assistance, security, international relations, and intercultural relations. She received her MAs from American University: School of International Service and Ritsumeikan University: Graduate School of International Relations.
     

    Dress Code: Office Casual
