War in the Middle East: Impact on Asia's Sea Lanes
Indo-Pacific Maritime Hour (via Zoom)
Monday, April 20, 2026 - 1000 (Taipei/Singapore);
1100 (Tokyo/Seoul); 1300 (Sydney)
This webinar examines how ongoing conflicts in the Middle East are reshaping maritime security dynamics and strategic calculations across Asia’s critical sea lanes. It explores the extent to which disruptions at key chokepoints, such as the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea, affect energy flows, trade routes, and naval operations in the Indo-Pacific. Bringing together perspectives from maritime security scholars and practitioners, the discussion considers how Asian states respond to heightened risks and the broader implications of evolving geopolitical uncertainties in an increasingly interconnected maritime domain.
