On 2 Dec Sept, YCAPS will be reassembling for a long-awaited in-person Community Conversation seminar in Yokosuka! Please join us for a social reception before Professor Corey Wallace of Kanagawa University leads a seminar on Japan's national security posture under Prime Minister Kishida .
Corey Wallace is Assistant Professor at Kanagawa University, Yokohama, Japan. His areas of expertise are Japanese foreign policy, East Asian military and security trends, and science and technology policy. He was formerly the Einstein Postdoctoral Fellow in the Graduate School of East Asian Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. He completed his PhD at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Corey was a participant on the JET program (2004-2007), and on returning to New Zealand he worked at the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology from 2007-2010 as a policy adviser in the innovation system policy team. Corey spent time in 2011 interning for a current member of the Japanese House of Councilors.
