    Dr. Kristin Roebuck, an Associate Professor and Howard Milstein Faculty Fellow at Cornell University, will provide an introductory overview of Japanese minority groups as well as discuss some of the issues and questions regarding foreign immigration to Japan.

    Dr. Kristin Roebuck is a historian of modern Japan whose research interests encompass the history of the body, medicine and law, race and gender, and international relations. She is also an Associate Professor at Cornell University's Department of History, where she teaches race and ethnicity and modern Japanese history, etc. Dr. Roebuck received her PhD in East Asian history from Columbia University, and holds a BA from Barnard College.
