YCAPS x CIEE

Welcomes Interns to Japan for a Second Consecutive Year

This summer, YCAPS (Yokosuka Council on Asia-Pacific Studies) is proud to welcome CIEE interns for a second consecutive year, continuing our impactful collaboration with the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE). Through this internship, rising student leaders gain professional and cultural exposure while contributing meaningfully to YCAPS’s mission of fostering grassroots understanding of the Indo-Pacific region.

This year, we are thrilled to host three outstanding interns: Timothy Shumaker, a Diplomacy and World Affairs student at Occidental College; Wendy Colindres, a Business Communication major from Trinity Washington University; and M. Stefany Pagnan, a Political Science major with a minor in Global Studies in the Asia Region from the University of California, Berkeley. All three are rising seniors who bring diverse backgrounds, academic excellence, and a shared commitment to international engagement.
