On 25 Oct 2026, eighteen ASPEN members gathered for a dinner in Roppongi, Tokyo for an evening of thoughtful discussion and fellowship. The conversation was guided by Kevin Maher, who shared his reflections on the recently concluded Mt. Fuji Dialogue, offering insights into the key themes, discussions, and implications for Japan’s regional and international relationships. His observations provided a valuable starting point for an engaging exchange among members, who explored the broader strategic issues facing Japan and the Indo-Pacific while strengthening the ASPEN community’s commitment to informed dialogue and mutual understanding.
The Allied Security Practitioners Exchange Network (ASPEN) is an initiative hosted by YCAPS that focuses on the professional development of Japanese and United States security practitioners through networking, dialogue, and educational programming.
